A Thousand Hills Farm is a veteran and family owned homestead in the Lakes Region. The family raises pastured laying hens, organic meat chickens and turkeys, and pigs that are raised in the forest, and they make their own tallow balm for skin care.
The farm has been known in the past for high butterfat raw milk from its Jersey cows. Raw milk isn’t currently listed among the products on their website, so call ahead to ask whether it’s available before making the trip.
Our tip: Pork shares are a great way to fill the freezer with pasture and forest raised meat. Ask when the next batch will be ready, since shares are limited.
