Peachey’s Farm is a family dairy on Route 193 in the Mannsville and Ellisburg area, south of Watertown and close to the Lake Ontario shore. Raw milk is sold in half gallons and gallons, along with eggs, maple syrup, honey, and seasonal produce, all from their own farm.
New York allows raw milk to be sold only on the farm where it’s produced, and only by farms holding a state raw milk permit. Permitted farms are inspected and have their milk sampled and tested by the state, and they post a sign letting customers know the milk is unpasteurized.
Our tip: Call ahead to check hours and stock. If you’re headed to the Lake Ontario beaches near Sandy Pond, it’s an easy detour.
