Old Ford Farm is run by the Fullam family on the border of New Paltz and Gardiner, at the foot of the Shawangunk Ridge. Their Jersey cows are grass-fed, with certified organic grain as a supplement, and since 2023 the family has bred only A2/A2 genetics.
Raw milk runs about $9 a half gallon, with a small discount for multiples and preorders. New York allows raw milk to be sold only on the farm where it’s produced, and only by farms holding a state raw milk permit. Permitted farms are inspected and have their milk sampled and tested by the state, and they post a sign letting customers know the milk is unpasteurized. New customers are asked to leave an email address as part of the farm’s records.
Our tip: If you need six jars or more, preorder at least two days ahead. Bring cash or a check.
