Threefold Community Farm in Monsey is a biodynamic farm with a small herd of mostly Jersey cows. It describes itself as the only local raw milk source in Rockland County.
New York allows raw milk to be sold only on the farm where it’s produced, and only by farms holding a state raw milk permit. Permitted farms are inspected and have their milk sampled and tested by the state, and they post a sign letting customers know the milk is unpasteurized. Supply is seasonal, and milk can be scarce in late winter.
Our tip: The farm store runs on the honor system. Bring cash or check their site for payment options.
