Swallow Barn Farm is a Jersey dairy in Fluvanna County, between Charlottesville and Richmond, offering raw milk through herd shares. Jersey milk is known for its high butterfat and sweet, creamy flavor.

Virginia doesn’t allow raw milk to be sold directly, so farms offer herd shares instead. You buy a share of the herd, pay a monthly boarding fee for the animals’ care, and receive milk from the cows you co-own. Swallow Barn offers pickup right at the farm and at several locations around central Virginia.
