🍴 Why It’s On Our List
- Meat from their own 360 acre regenerative farm in Bath, NH
- Grass-fed and pasture raised proteins
- Raw milk cheeses
- Michelin Guide recognized
Woods Hill Pier 4 is a farm to table restaurant on the Boston waterfront, owned by Kristin Canty and run by Chef Charlie Foster. What makes it special is where the food comes from. Much of the meat is raised on the Farm at Woods Hill, their own 360 acre farm in Bath, New Hampshire, where cattle graze on pasture and pigs forage in the woods.
Beyond the farm, they source from small regional producers, serve only raw milk cheeses, and follow strict seafood standards. More than three quarters of their ingredients are certified organic. The restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide, and the harbor views make it a great spot for a special night out.
Good to know: Woods Hill’s own website says the kitchen cooks with organic sunflower oil and olive oil, while some seed oil directories list beef tallow. Ask your server which fat is used for the dishes you order.
