Hoofprint Cheese Company in Millbrook is run by Katelyn and Brendan Foley, who opened in 2016. Their Alpine and Nubian goats produce state licensed raw milk along with goat cheeses and yogurt.
New York allows raw milk to be sold only on the farm where it’s produced, and only by farms holding a state raw milk permit. Permitted farms are inspected and have their milk sampled and tested by the state, and they post a sign letting customers know the milk is unpasteurized.
Our tip: Call ahead to confirm hours and milk availability before you visit.
