Quaker Hill Creamery in Pawling is Certified Animal Welfare Approved. Calves stay with their mothers, and the cows are rotationally grazed and milked in a New Zealand style swing parlor.
New York allows raw milk to be sold only on the farm where it’s produced, and only by farms holding a state raw milk permit. Permitted farms are inspected and have their milk sampled and tested by the state, and they post a sign letting customers know the milk is unpasteurized.
Our tip: Enter at the farm sign. The self serve setup means you can stop by any time of day.
