Jersey Meadow is a family dairy in Ghent, in Columbia County, run by Olan and Kendra Martin. Their all Jersey herd grazes on pasture and produces rich, creamy milk.
New York allows raw milk to be sold only on the farm where it’s produced, and only by farms holding a state raw milk permit. Permitted farms are inspected and have their milk sampled and tested by the state, and they post a sign letting customers know the milk is unpasteurized.
Our tip: Tours are available by appointment. Remember there are no Sunday sales.
